Amazing stuff chaps.

Could there be a collated thread or gallery for all the pics?

Yeah, if it became a painting club, the badge is almost too easy...Chapter insignia. :D

Now, who's good with photoshop?  It'd be awesome to see graphical representations of the Chapter (i.e. "here's what a librarian of the Chapter looks like").  Nothing to be used as a hard and fast guide-line, but just some silliness would be nice.  Basically the GW-esque colour plates.  I'm also anxious to see what the Chapter Master etc. end up looking like.

Librarian's, Techmarines (and vehicle crews) and Chaplains seem to have a universal colour scheme across all chapters.

Librarian = Blue save for one arm in the chapter color)

Tech Marines = Red, due to the allegiance to the priesthood of Mars

Chaplains = Black

There are however some chapters which have special variants of these, which have more chapter specific looks.

Are we going to come up with one then? How about quartered with the Chapter colours?

cheers

I see it as the Space Wolves, we're all a little bit unique. My guys will have bare metal helmets with purple fur (for the 7th company).

My squad is assembled...but I'm missing a handful of shoulder pads, and my heads...oh and some jump packs.  FINE, I lied.  They're not assembled.  Close enough though to start priming!

I think this is the easiest option.
That will we can all be a little individual whilst keeping within a theme.

I have moved away from a five man squad to an individual now.
(I have to use that Primaris Lt that I bought out of curiosity somehow....).

I have a couple of old leads that I am planning on using - probably a 4-some, as I always felt that the quad was a superior formation to 5s or 10s.  To me, 4 or 6 make the most sense tactically.

I guess I need to break out some RT era figures I've had stashed. Pretty sure I have an old metal medic ;)

As much as the new Primaris marines do look very nice (thanks Agis!),  I still think these are awesome!

I love the aesthetics of the old minis, but the sculpt quality was often really poor.  I spend a lot of time trying to source and build plastic versions of the old aesthetic.

Some of those poor guys are waist-height on a primaris  lol

I keep thinking about digging up the oldest marines in my collection to contribute to this but they are either the old Legion of the Damned (not sure of their year, 96?) or some metal Death Company which are about 95 I think.

Here's Dreadnought me progressing slowly.
One of you might recognise him as I had bought him from a forum member, and he's third or fourth hand I think. I'd never gotten round to painting him.

Added a few bits, now needs a bit of sealer in a few places, some further cleaning up and some distressing.
