Salvage Crew (Now with PIRATES!!!)
« on: September 30, 2009, 08:36:31 PM »
The crew of the salvage vessel SS Betty Sue, a rather obsolete piece of junk that prowls the space lanes, seeking out derelicts, or helping in the repairs of damaged ships.

Dallas McClaine "The Major" and Ellie Six.

The Major is a former special forces agent who is wanted on several civilised worlds for his actions during "the war" mainly the fact that he and his team the "Howling Fox's" infilitrated a top secret research facility and stole one of the test subjects. Many of the Fox's have been eliminated over the years, but the Major just keeps on kicking.

Ellie Six is the test subject stolen by the Major, one of eight girls that were being trained and experimented on. Ellie has proven to have an extreme knack for almost any weapon she gets her hands on, as well as being an expert in all forms of martial arts known to man, a few that aint, on top of that, its believed she has some form of telepathic abilitys, hence the rather large bounty on her head. She is generally never far from the Major.

Kaylee, the Betty's chief mechanic, theres not much to say about her, cept shes one of the few things that keeps the boat floating and she has a good eye for useful salvage.

Machine, or Mach is a heavy work cyborg that has seen better days. A criminal sentenced to forced cyberisation, his memory and free will removed, he has no choice but to obey his owners commands. He is generally used for engineering and heavy load tasks, though he has been used in combat a few times as well, which explains his missing organic arm.

One of the crew in a enviroment hazard suit, minus re-breather and weilding a cutting torch.

Nice group. Is that Mean Machine Angel you've used for Mach? 8)

The top three look unconverted, I don't know about the others though.

no none of them are converted.

The Major and Ellie Six are Heresy's "the Major" and Ellie Mental, Kaylee is a Reaper Chronoscope somebody or other, Mach is a Foundry Mean Machine Angel, and the gal in the suit is a resin limited edition from some french company I cant recall.

oh! ???

I shall check them at once - some would fit perfectly into my collection

Ellie six is meant to be "not Milla Yovovich", right?

Currently I only have two more to paint up, the heavy weapons man and a pilot, but I am going to add some EM-4 power suits, for those "close encounters".

I also need a Captain.

As for the rifle, I dont know..its sitting in a vast pile of Imperial lasguns and Foundry assault weapons...hmm an armory perhaps...?

Nice stuff! The combination of figures works rather well. I once painted the "Non-5E"-Figures as a commission - superb stuff, and so well captured. The colours you chose for the "Not-Korben" work splendidly together, although the hair stubble "yellow" could have been a bit more muted for my taste.

Thanks fellas :)

I think the problem with the hair is caused by the camera, its not to bad to the naked eye..or maybe I'm colour blind  :o

lol I had to reread that... I thought you said "wench"!  lol

Nice to no that the Major & Ellie Six are still together after saving the universe in The 5th Element.

Nice work there, TMF.
