Havn't been here for a while and missed all the magnificent progress. Superb work, Sir!
 :-* :-*

Thank you, praise indeed from a master  :) (I've gone all weak at the knees)

For tonight's little installment we have some much needed heavy artillery. It's a HBLS Krupp Big Bertha but with no conversion work done whatsoever. I do need to make some shells and paint some crew though.

I also have the idea of having a towing 'tractor' for it (as it's separate from the base), we'll see though.

I hadn't encountered this thread before... took a lot of reading but I'm all caught up. I'm impressed to say the least!!!

Really nice heavy artillery. Nicely painted, and it fits in nicely with your army and theme.

This is one of my most favourite of threads on here. I never liked the concept of battles on Mars until now.

Keep up the excellent work good sir.

Thanks chaps  :)

It's really nice to get such positive feedback.

Very nice indeed!  :-* How big is the gaming table going to be?  ;)

For BLAM only a six by four but for Salute it will be at least six by 12.

Te heavy stuff isn't for BLAM (but I'll bring it if you want) it's just in general as the force grows and expands  :)

cheers

Nice to see some proper artillery. nice paint job too James.

Must get back to work on my Frenchies (I've just ordered some more to finish off the Legion) and will be getting beck to my air fleet.

I wonder who the French will side with?

I wonder  ;)

For tonight's installment I've quite a few things to show  :)

First off some more 'normal' terrain in the form of rocks and mesa. I've got three mesa now and there are two large, two medium and three small rock clusters (will count as difficult going). Figures for scale obviously.

I've also undercoated the amroured gunboat and will be painting it soon  :)

And finally for tonight I made a little Victorian building (purpose yet undetermined). It's actually based off a small Victorian society building in suburban Coventry (Google Earth street view is your friend  :D )

It's all lasered, including the roof tiles (which are available from my site) and for the most part, spray painted and drybrushed.

For Salute next year I'll be making the corner of 'New Victoria' with quite a few recognizable buildings included, this was a tester to see if the technique works as planned... I'm pleased to say that it did  :D

The boards are nearly done and when this is so I'll post some complete photos of pretty much everything I have for Mars  :o (there's quite a lot now).

Thanks for looking  :)

cheers

James

WOW  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
Love that building. What are the walls made from? Are the bricks laser cut?
Paint job is very nice too.

I love this comment:  "And finally for tonight I made a little Victorian building..."  That building would have taken me three weeks to complete.   :?   :)

It's all from 2mm perspex and the bricks are heavily scored. I did think about trying the white mortar method but it didn't work out too well and I thought the mortar on Mars would be reddish anyway  :D

Oh, it took longer than just a night. I meant 'finally' for the pictures  :)
