Sorry to hear about the eye old fruit, hope it isn't anything serious.

You have my sympathies with the dilating drops, after the eye incident at BLAM 2012 I had to take dilating drops for 48 hours in the bad eye. Whenever the missus drove me anywhere I spent most of the time screaming as my spatial awareness was all over the place  lol

I don't claim to be any better. I've still got 8 martian trees on my windowsill, only one of which is actually finished....

Right, the eye patch is no more and my eye is almost back to normal and so I'll start posting some of the limited progress I've made over the past couple of weeks  :)

I've decided to light the station, not the easiest model to get wiring into but with a removable roof it just about works. Small grain of wheat bulbs for this as I couldn't be bothered with LEDs and the bulbs give a softer light.

The wires are still visible as they haven't been attached in place yet. The roof is now tiled and when it's been painted I'll post some more pictures tonight on the mesa.

I've also gotten end to finishing the gateway that I started ages ago. It might look familiar  ;)

There are a couple of machine gun turrets on the top for last ditch defence (oh yes, the Martians will get this close  :D ) and I'll probably make some loose doors of the green metal kind  :)

I've also made a brief start on the corner section, not much to say on this at the moment but hopefully I'll get some more done on it later so it will become more apparent on what I'm thinking (bit of a dark photo I'm afraid).

More to follow this evening on the train and the station  :)

cheers

James

Fantastic James!! :o :o

Do you have an over all plan for this board or are you just building what you think suits as you go?

Thanks chaps  :)

Fantastic James!! :o :o

I do but it's my head for the time being  ::) lol

If you imagine a 6x12 board with a short end facing you the station mesa is in the closest left corner with the railway viaduct running away up the left hand side of the board. The canal is in the middle three sections crossing short ways. The walls of New Victoria cover about four foot square in the bottom left hand corner. There are various mesa and other bits of terrain that are strewn over the boards.

Hope this makes sense, I might just sketch it out tomorrow and post it up so it makes more sense.

cheers

James
