Runequest/Crom project (Rogerick, rhino warrior added 07/01/12)
« on: December 27, 2011, 04:48:58 PM »
Inspired by the new Broo from Fenris (hopefully should be arriving soon) and Matakishi's Crom rules I have started a small side project, here are the first two figures from Lance and Lasers Hero wars range.

I hope you like.

"Harrek the Berserk" and "Gunda the Guilty", right?  ;)

Very nicely done. Frankly, I didn't remember the L&L range being that nice- You've done a bang-up job on them!

yeah Harrek and Gunda, I used to have the old Archive figures many many years ago, so these had to be my first purchase, the L&L figures I have so far are quite nice but they do suffer from the old Ral Partha syndrome of looking like they have just jumped out and said "Boo" (or should that be "Broo" lol)

YET ANOTHER FINE thread to follow. The painting & photography are EXCELLENT...VERY WELL DONE!
Now that it's already been mentioned, Ral Partha & some other early mini makers did have a tendency to pose their minis in such a way as to cause sympathetic arm fatigue in the viewer.

There have been quite a few Runequest linked minis on here recently - is there a re-release out there somewhere or is it all the old skool stuff coming back as it is/was so good?

Looking forward to seeing some painted versions of those Broo you mention.

Knowing how all your other projects turns out, I'll reckon this will be a thread to follow closely the coming months :)

My Fenris Broo order arrived the other day, lovely models, I also added a couple of resin bits and the Rogerick, rhino warrior model, Wasn't looking forward to painting Rogerick so thought it best to paint him first, quite pleased with the result.

Nice brushwork.

I like the natural colortones, makes them look even better. More real (if you can say that about fantasy.. lol).

I have painted my first Fenris Broo, and I have also converted and painted a a new figure for Harrek the Beserk as I am not to keen on the Lance & Laser models and new one is of a better size to match with the rest of my human figures.
Unfortunately I can't show them  as I hope to enter the LPL this year (my first time) and need all the figures for various rounds, to make it worse Harrek isn't being used until Round 10 (about 14 weeks away). The suspence is killing me......
