Lovely work mate! :)
I need to rebase my miniatures too. A pity that there about 200 of them :(

Do them in small batches, that way you get to complete stuff often, and you can sense the progress  ;)

And, thanks - it's really amazing how big a difference the bases make; had I but understood this earlier, it would have saved me a lot of work. But, heck, I didn't have access to tufts and 'leaves' back then, anyway  lol
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Redid the bases on these 4 'encounters'.

Before:

After (note, that the Mummies were previously based on copper coins, which were replaced by steel washers for the magnetic properties):

Things have been a bit quiet, as I had to repair the dining table (it los 1/4 of its legs) before I could lay out my cutting mat and other accessories for the next step(s).

Can you guess what is going on?

Making some progress:

Details can be found on my blog, but it is a quite straightforward build, even for someone like me  lol

Looking very good.  :-*

I'm quite pleased with it - it must be the first ever completed gaming-related scratch-build by me, and though it has a few minor flaws, it should serve me well in games to come!

I'll see if I can get some paint slabbed on one of the next days, but I'm working nights this and tomorrow night, so I am going to sleep most of Thursday and Friday away, and the weekend is all but booked out by my in-Laws coming Saturday for delayed birthday celebration (yup, it's that time of the year, again), and the girls attending an event at their riding Club Sunday, so we'll see if I get anything done before Monday...  ::)

Got some paint slabbed on.

First, base-coated/primed with a dark brown:

And a coat of golden brown (to make it match my aquarium deco pieces):

With the deadline drawing close, I am once more spending some time on this.

The finished stairs:

This is looking good!

Thanks - I actually just need to finish basing the mad grave robber, and then get everything out for a photo shoot, and I shall have accomplished what I set out to do for this challenge.

The project will then have been finished just a tiny bit beyond the original plans from way back (because of the re-basing of the minis), and I think I can then claim it fulfilled.

It does NOT mean, however, that my mind is not already seeing possibilities for expansions, but they will have to wait patiently in line as I am just now focussing on bringing some other old, almost forgotten projects back to life - most notably my ancient Citadel Undead army I purchased second hand about 20 years ago, and now am painting up for God of Battles.

Almost there... need to do the final touches on the grave robber, but have started setting up the table(s) for the finishing photo-session.

Maybe tomorrow will see it done.
