Two completely unrelated figures that seem to work nicely together as a priestess (Colony 87 from Crooked Dice) and her bodyguard (Togg mercenary from Warlord Gates of Antares):

Thanks both!

@manic_miner I agree. I'm a sucker for some nice size differences between a group of minis :)

Thanks all. @majorsmith - I like a lot of the Antares figures. I reckon with careful selection, you can integrate them nicely into RT themed collections :)

Will you be adding more of the Antares Alien types to your collection? There is a very nice hound type handler and the Ghar are fun figures too.

Very nice.  Didn't realize Togg was that big.

Agreed with the numerous comments about Gates having loads of potentially handy sculpts.  Really wish Warlord would go back to expanding that range, it's been years since they paid it any attention.  Attention span of a bunch of mayflies, that company.

Agreed with others here - a lovely collection of beautifully painted figures!  :-* :D

I also think the Antares range has lots of hidden RT-style gems in it when it comes to aliens; along with the Togg (which is a really nice clean and well thought-out sculpt in its own right), the Hukk and Askar are also worth consideration, not to mention the Isorian Tsan Ra, and basically the whole Boromite faction.

Really wish Warlord would go back to expanding that [Antares] range, it's been years since they paid it any attention.

They made a good effort to put out models for pretty everything listed in the various books, and I don't think there's too much missing at this point - off the top of my head, plastic troops for Boromites and Isorians are the only "wishlist" things I can sensibly think of, along with plastic vehicle kits. I suspect the real reason Antares has gone quiet is that they are working on a second edition.

(...Anyway, not to derail Axiom's excellent thread.  ;) )

No firm plans, but I'm always on the lookout for fun figures :)

I agree with all the comments, plenty of fun stuff in the Antares range. I keep looking at other ranges like Void and Kryomek for cool figures to include. I'm wishing I'd picked up more of Bob Naismith's Cobalt-1 figures when they were available - now Bridge Miniatures seems to be dormant, it looks as if they're impossible to get hold of.

There's some beauties in Kryomek, including the figs that started as Shatterzone RPG minis that later got folded into the range.  Void and Urban War both have some potential too, although the earlier sculpts tend to be a bit on the small side IME.

Boy, I know that feeling.  One of those ranges I kept putting off ordering because there was always something newer and shinier, but it looks like we may have missed out for good at this point.  With the growth of 3D home printing I suspect we'll see fewer and fewer "lost" ranges returning from the dead as time goes by.

Plastic Algoryn would be nice too.  They may have finished the vital stuff but the setting's a big one, always room for expansion with new factions or troops/vehicles - and without new releases, interest wanes and new players coming in drop off hard.  Hopefull you're right about a new edition, but I'm not super optimistic about it.

I have some of the Cobalt Wolf/Dog Alien types.Might have some others too.A good range of figures that fit well with the old Rogue Trader range as Bob did some of them too.

The Brotherhood figures in this range look like they would make good additions too.
