The Bunker - A Terrain Project for Zone Alfa/Rogue Stars
« on: April 03, 2024, 09:50:40 PM »
This is the beginning of my Bunker terrain build. The idea is to use the old mixed with more modern equipment, but not too futuristic. Most of the items so far are from Ainsty Castings and Actual Size Miniature (eBay). Currently working out the size of rooms I want so I haven't completed that many wall sections plus I need to decide on how to represent the doors. Inspiration comes from many many sources. I'll try and elaborate more on them as the project progresses.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

What a wonderful painting style; I especially love the checked bedspread, it must have taken ages.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Very cool. I am very tempted to copy that project of yours, but I won't be able to explain the purchase or building of any more modular terrain...
Maybe someday...  :D

A bit of an update on The Bunker.

L to R Two computer terminals using Ainsty Castings plinths with Actual Size Miniatures computers. Ice Machine, Washing Machine and Fridge from Actual Size Miniatures.

New idea for a workshop using 1/56 scale machinery from Anyscale Models. A lathe, two milling machines and a couple of pillar drills.

Some work on the walls for Computer Room A. I've decided to go with these doors from Blotz. I think they fit well with the bunker feel.

Computer Room A pretty much finished.

Finished another corridor section which still needs some detailing (pipework, wires etc).

A wonderful Grav Truck from Oshiro Models. WIP paint job at the moment. Going for an industrial yellow scheme. I have an additional trailer for this as well. Guess that means i'll have to build a garage for the truck as well now.

Cheers

Thanks, I think the bookcase was from either Ainsty Castings or Fenris Games can't remember which. The wall panels are from the old Antenocitis Workshop unfortunately no longer available. Don't know if anyone picked them up?

Cheers
