Great models, used a few in my iNfinity games. I find the landing platform (here) particularly good for gaming purposes: it provides cover, a ramp, elevated terrain... just be sure to mount the upper platform on thick cardboard or foamcore for added strenght.

Yeah the landing platform is great. I think I mounted the platform on some thick card from one of those large rigid envelopes. Also made a couple of the Utility Shuttles to land on it. :)

What terrain ideas/plans do you have for Rogue Star games?
Clean SciFi (Infinity style), Dying Civilisation (Bladerunner), Desert Planet or something Post Apoc?
All of the above?  I think the game has the potential for it.

To start, I'm thinking I want a sort of hive world/world city setting.  It will require a lot of terrain to pull off (basically 100% coverage of the table) but I think it should be very cool when done.

How about all at once Elysium style.

Nice idea but may be a tight fit on the table size.

The earlier idea of using space hulk type tiles and corridors as a ship or complex interior is one I had not considered. Minimal outlay and highly flexible, could be a good way to get started.

I have a load of Mantic Deadzone scenery (some of it even built and painted :o), as well as some cardboard scenery to keep me going.

I backed the BattleSystems SFII kickstarter, but that won't arrive before August. I also backed their post apoc scenery last year, so games may well happen in settings that look suspiciously 20/21st century - hey, it worked for Stargate :D

I also have a couple of starter sets of Sally Forth's Terra Block terrain, so interiors should be okay for a while.

RPGNow has plenty of SF tile sets that you can print off if you're looking for spacehulk type games. I may even see if I can lay them over the Sally Forth MDF stuff to give it a bit of texture
