Galloping Major 'soldiers free' figure, first of the new Old West range from Lance. Lovely figure to slap some paint on.
I really like the Galloping Major figure. (Mine is still in the zip lock bag lol)
I look forward to seeing your version Nick.
Don't hold your breath lol
I don't see me getting much time this month to get much done ::)

Great entries so far gents. :D
The Galloping Major figure is a beauty! Is he only available as a free figure if you order cavalry or apaches?
Thanks Elk101 :D
Yes, currently only available with existing packs orders for The Western Range, but will continue to be available with releases of more different types of western figures - things to come, if requested will go out with FIW orders.
Cheers,
Lance

Manufacturer: Wargames Foundry, sculpted by Marc Copplestone

Only when finished I noticed a wrongly painted detail, but was too lazy to paint it again; who will find it?
:)
Nice!
(I noticed the green bandana in the back after I read your remark...)
Ah yes, the green tails of his headscarf don't match the red of the front. But hey - it could be two halves of the Mexican flag tied round his brow ;)
Alas, I have not a single Wild West figure to my name, so won't be playing this time :)

Well I do have a couple of rather nifty Zorros... ::)
But didn't we decide that was Swashbuckling not Old West? ;)
As you have two you could put one here and the other in Swashbuckling in due course.
Its a win/win all round :D
Alas, I have not a single Wild West figure to my name, so won't be playing this time :)
PM me your address, I'll send you a Christmas care package. I have a surfeit lol
No. 17: Big Dick Johnson, Cattle Baron
(Old Glory/West Wind Cowboy Wars range)
Very nice figure and painting, and another rider at least! Didn't know the West Wind Cowboy Wars range had such nice miniatures, or is this an exception?

Who makes this one Dr? Artizan?
Thirty entries in seven days - that's a jolly good show, pardners! Only seventy to go, so keep the pace and quality ... :-*
:-* More great entries guys. Hope I can get another painted before this ends. Keep 'em coming!
I hope I can get one painted before the end!
No 34 Sheriff Herbert W. Iener
Btw, it seems that all men of the law share the same tailor 8)
This is going to be over before I get my 2nd mini base coated :o
great homesteader!
Happily for you lot, and unhappily for me, I am going to be without a camera until 22/12, so I'm unlikely to be able to contribute any more

Peder and Laughing Cow, you've goofed the numbers.
You're 39 and 40!
Brilliant work other than that! lol

Knuckledusters (somewhat lackluster) Miniatures
There is actually 6 minis to the set but one is off somewhere pursuing her second, and proverbially the oldest, profession.
Hey Steve it's by Black Scorpion, and their tombstone range. They are a little on the large size (at 32 to top of head) And I'm mixing them with hasslefree/em4 some of which are quite short/thin. So I've based 'em on washers and removed their slottas. It helps scale them down a bit.
I enjoyed red dead redemption, and that figure was a spitting image of Rickets(sans coat).
Sorry Steve I don't have any artisan to compare with but I'll take some comparison shots with hasslefree, old GW and em4. Wait and I'll post them in my PA thread. ;)
I hope the missing lady is not doing that at your home... :o
No. 48 Ali Hakim another foundry mini.
A down on his luck Persian peddler who lost all his goods buying him self out of a shotgun wedding. He's thrown his luck in with some cowboys hoping to raise enough dollars to start up his business again and get the hell out of town.

Cool, he would make a great Chico Marx from Way Out West! "I'd like the west better if it was in the east"
I think he's meant to... there's another one that looks a lot like Harpo (guy with a bottle).
No Mason he's a new mini for my second band of trouble makers. They have a different theme. Not sure if its been spotted yet.
Ooh in that case I'd better check them out, I love the Marx Brothers!
I think he's meant to... there's another one that looks a lot like Harpo (guy with a bottle).
Mark Copplestone has a Groucho (in the Thrilling Adventures range, wearing a pith helmet, I think - which could be mended with the use of a razor saw and another mini), but I think he's way out of scale with the Foundry ones.
Another of the Copplestone Western figures from Foundry is/was a Groucho as a snake oil salesman :D

The flesh looks amazing. What's your formula?
Is it still available? I think I need those 3 minis! ;D

@mason, if you think your Station Master is lowering the bar then I must have been doing some freakish limbo thing with my offerings!!
Love that DMH figure Cubs; a very nice colour selection.
everything that could go wrong at the Matt Varnish stage went wrong lol
No.65 - Bristly Ben Johnson
He's from the 'Dead Man's Hand' townsfolk set. The cactus is a plastic one in my bits box ... I think it was in a 1:72 set from Imex.

There's no way I'm going to be able to finish another entry, with Christmas preparations taking up most of the weekends atm, so I'll leave it at that and go paint a couple of pulp minis until the next painting challenge/club begins...
Great stuff! I'm going with the little lady to the OK Corral in Tombstone on the 6th!
The 'metal' on the barrels is REALLY good, as it looks natural from several angles!
# 73: Wild Bill Hickok
Artizan Designs
Great painting, but I can't help but feel that the figure looks a bit feeble. Maybe I am used to Wild Bill as portrayed by Keith Carradine. :)
Nice job on Wild Bill.
I haven't seen Keith Carradine in the part of WB - is it a film or a series?
He brilliantly plays Wild Bill in the TV Series Deadwood . You've done a great paint job on him.
#77
Ned Dalton, leader of the new gang in the territory.

Brilliant entries!
Anyone want to take bets on what the next round's theme will be??

Great paintjobs all of you, but Dr. Schulz's cart is freaking awesome! Where did you get that nice molar, Admiral? :o :D
Another lady at least! Great colour choice!
:-*
Only one to go...so won't be me as my would-be entry is still bare metal. lol
Excellent. :D
Another fine painting club done and dusted. Excellent entries from everyone and that's a pretty cool finale piece prof.
Roll on the next club.
(I'd love it to be something fictional next time. Future Wars, Fantasy, Post Apoc or VSF would suit my lead pile just fine)
Lovely final entry Prof!
Really enjoyed this and it really helped me get my painting mojo back. Roll on the next painting club!!
... even though I really do HATE painting horses!.

So, all pics are in the gallery, all members of the OWPP listed. Please check if I have all of the 41 members included. Every member may now get the OWPP badge into his profil's signature line. Please have a look at page 1 of this thread where you'll find the small version.I'm sorry - I seem to be too stupid to do that - I can't see how to have a signature with anything other than text in it.

If you click 'quote' on page 1, you will see the text code for the smaller image instead of the image itself. Thanks - that seems to have worked!!!
Copy that text, then paste it into your signature on your profile.
Word of warning though, it seems our signatures may only be 300 characters long, and mine is nearly maxed out.
Thanks - that seems to have worked!!!
Or not… ?
It has! Your signature line will appear only once on a page, in your first post! This is due to the forum specifications. So, if I reply now, it should appear...

Hey Pete - nice gunslinger. Stick him up in the 'Old West' section on the main board, preferably with some kind of dirty limerick attached.
