The ebb and tide of the battle everywhere!
The Ghazis pinned, manage to rally and capture the ammunition wagon!

The Egyptians receive one more casualty, and, low in morale, rout abandoning the water wagon to its fate!
The 2nd British Regulars have a hard time, as well!

The Ghazis attempt to drive the ammunition wagon to their camp receiving long range volleys at their backs from the Highlanders, who save the day!

The will of both players was the game to be played until last man standing, so here is the end of the battle:
A much bloodied, heroic British victory. All wagons are safe!

Heavy losses for both sides!

The Mahdists lost 9 units, 7 initial and 2 as reinforcements (2 groups of Spearmen)
It will take them long to return...
The British were also much bloodied, they lost 4 out of 7: Lancers, 2nd Lancer reinforcements, 1st British Regulars and the Egyptians!
The gatling never jammed this time, was the MVP of the game!

Many thanks to:

ArisK and Guldor, who fought with their well known gallant manner with the Arabs and British respectively.
Miltiades, who took on his shoulders all the brunt to bring along his beautiful armies and town, make the table setup and correct the players from time to time throwing a look at the TMWWBK rulebook, as it was our first time we played.
Tony Lymp, who dropped by to bring me my long-awaited commissioned unit of GNW cavalry  :)

One more time, I didn't have the opportunity to play  :'( as I had to keep one eye on the scenario and the units cards (command ability, discipline, fire, fight, movement distances and firing ranges) and the other on my camera, I hope you enjoyed the pics and the AAR!

It was a very nice game. The rules were fast and easy to learn. There is only a small problem with the reaction test, [the test that every group has to take  to perform an action]. This of course, gives a flavour to the game but it limits the strategic plans of the players...

A nice game.
Setup and rules very clear.
Minis and Town   :o :o :o :o.
The Osprey's rules simples and fast. A problem about these (general), a strategic plain can destroyed from one dice............... Ok i like, the fog of war.

th'x again my good friend's for the  experience

Dear friend, I want to greatly thank you for endorsing my scenario and for accepting it to be played with both rules systems, providing yourself all the goodies needed for a nice table setup.
Although the games mechanics were different, we were happy to see two successful games with different final outcome -and I believe, if replayed- the outcome would be again diverse!
I know, the activation tests are not of your preference, in any case each kind of wargame tries to simulate the fog of war.
If this feels realistic, this depends also on what the actual player demands from a game, what is probable to happen and what not.

Personally, I enjoyed both games! I hope you enjoyed the AARs...
