Jousting Terrain needed
« on: 03 September 2020, 10:31:06 PM »
So I'm looking for terrain for my planned jousting games.  I saw that 1st Corp has a tilt but it doesn't say how long the 3 pieces are when put together. I need the tilt to be 40 inches long per the rules Steed and Steel.  Also, any ideas for stands for royals and commoners?

A tilt could be easily made from balsa wood to your required length

I agree. When I made mine I stuck decorative shields along it (every few inches)
This was used (instead of tape measures) for movement. e.g. speed 4 =
move four shields. Knights got a bonus for being the fastest. As the centre
shield was different from the others, whoever was at/past it was the faster.
Simples.

As far as I can remember the tilt yard from 1st corps .Has the panels around an inch in size on each section. As they were originally designed for a particular set of jousting/torment rules .I don't recall their name. As it's been a fair few years since I sculpt the tents and tilt yard.
I'm not familiar with the rules your planning on using . But a 40" tilt yard seems very long.

That is a great idea!
