HUZZAH!! HUZZAH!!

"It's Independence!! Independence!!" They shout as they ride toward the Continental HQ.

"The Congress has declared our Independence!!"

Someone on another site had requested that I do a small 4 th of July piece, about 5 or 6 years ago.
I thought that this would be cool. Riders spreading the news through out the towns and villages, seemed appropriate.

I've always thought that this was one the most realistic bases that I have ever done.

Great work Kingsmt. The base is particularly nice, you’ve achieved a nice balance of density and variety (something usually missing on bases) to make a charmingly realistic setting - looks very similar to the knee high wild flower meadow that is my back lawn at the moment - only missing the bright blue cornflowers (which like lots of naturally occurring colours might not work at scale as people would probably think the blue was fake or jarring!)

I’m guessing the chaps aren’t on their first horses as by the 4th they will have been riding around for two whole days since independence was declared!  lol

Thanks BALM. It's not easy to reproduce what real nature looks like. One of my better efforts, I think.
