First action in the new, New Emporium at the Seaside.
His Nibs in person has turned up to wrest Spain back from the ulcerous Sepoy General! Strong in Cavalry Boneypart and Marshal Ney deploy along the Agua Verde River...

His Grace the Duke of Wellington does likewise on the opposite bank...

Great looking game in my favorite scale! What rules did you use?

Thanks.

In true Napoleonic style, mass Cavalry thunder forward in overwhelming numbers...

Undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, British Dragoons and Hussars rise to the challenge! Massed Infantry 'prepare to receive Cavalry'.

On the distant right flank, Britain's Prussian Allies push for the river crossing.

The Old Guard deploys to take them on...

I am intrigued by the basing system (looks good), what is the base size and are you using two bases per unit, so that line and assault column can be represented? Ihave just starrted Austrians doing something similar, but on 80mm bases.

Have you made any tweaks to the OHW rules or are you playing them as written ?

Playing the Napoleonic rules with only one tweak. A General can join a unit and rally off a D6 worth of hits, but must stay with that unit till the Dice of Death do for it. Every time the unit takes a hit we roll a D6, comes up a 6 said General's meets his Waterloo!

Cheers Norm. The bases are 5"x2", each base representing a single unit. Neil Thomas's cheap and cheerful OHW rules don't do formations, everybody's in battle line.
Granted, it does look a bit daft for Napoleonicing, but works surprisingly well in creating traffic jams and masking batteries as vast mobs of Infantry and Cavalry start swanning around!
