Flocking for flames!! A stroke of Genius!
Not genius on my part. I first saw it used years ago on a WW1 demo game by Dave Andrews and Aly Morrison. There are a few 'how to' around the web that others have done. I looked at several, but mainly:
http://sidneyroundwood.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/flaming-holidays.htmlI find that a dousing in cheap superglue adds solidity and takes drybushing rather nicely.
It is what I do to clump foliage on my buildings.
An easier option if you still have a few 'soft' areas.
I didn't do this as the PVA seemed to give good coverage, but I can see that it would work well on flames/smoke/foliage.
Are you planning to make a couple of flame markers out of the same stuff to show who's on fire?
That's the plan. I also have a running miniature, part converted , that will be on fire. I'm not sure I will have time to do them for the contest though.
