The terrain definitely looks good, lots of options here.

Week three

Nora continues to operate the Utilities Station and Samawel remains on kitchen duties.

Hancock stays at base to complete some projects, namely planting the yard for extra food and repairing the refrigerator in the kitchen.

Nick Valentine travels out alone to scavenge up resources (hoping mainly for food) whilst searching for survivors who might contribute to the fledgling community.

As Nick moves into the area he notes 2 buildings with signs of survivors within. However, he first needs to collect supplies and thin the area of Zeds.

Nick manages to scavenge six resources as the Zombie horde grows and becomes a significant threat.

He is ambushed by a Zed and takes a minor wound but it seems to quickly become infected.

Throwing caution to the wind he hurries to the South West where he can see two citizens in a poorly fortified camp.

They agree to accompany Nick back to the house and join the community; both are Level 2 - Strong, the Supermutant, has Blunt Weapon and Break skills whilst Adric is good with Utilities and Traps.

Unfortunately, most of Nicks finds were fuel and this leaves people not only short of beds but also very hungry.

Overnight it seems Samawel didn't rate his chances remaining and had fled leaving five folk to continue.

The plan for Week 4 is for Nora and Hancock to go scavenging for food, Nick to rest to ease his infection, Strong to build himself a bed and fix the gas range in the kitchen while Adric runs the Utilities Station.

Feeding everyone is currently the limiting factor so slowly increasing the means of production while ensuring everyone is fed are the priorities.

I am really starting to enjoy this ruleset and I'm still only playing with the very basic rules; there's lots of extra details, challenges and NPC's that can be added later.

I'm especially liking the Community Phase (between tabletop games) which relies very little on random tables, giving agency to the crew to develop in any direction they like.

Interesting.  Curious to see how Strong fares here, and how the other survivors get along with him....

Following a link from somewhere i watched some YouTube videos of the game.
Initially i wasn't impressed with the game rules shown but the more i watched the better it looked. The ongoing campaign aspect is intriguing and has lots of potential if you have the stamina for it.

Sounds as if you need a garden to feed your survivors and beds for them to sleep in.  :D

You do, otherwise they get grumpy and leave.

There is a delicate balancing act, if you do not have people doing the work at their "new home", then you are going to be short on food, medicine and fuel, but if they are working they cannot go out and scavenge and explore (including finding new survivors to add to the group).
If you are not exploring, trouble will come and visit you.

I'm really enjoying it at the moment and have big plans for the future.

Project Team was busy with power, water and the garden whilst Nick was out and about on Week 3 so they will all contribute for Weekn4 onwards.

I've got Nick resting a and couple of folk going scavenging whist Strong builds a bed and tries to get the fridge working. Adric will run the Utilities Station so they will have water and power.
