Best online shared dice roller?
« on: 15 February 2022, 04:01:02 PM »
A friend and I have been zoom gaming and using rolldicewithfriends.com to roll dice that we both can use and see results. (It's nice because you don't have to register or start an account.)

We're not happy with the skewed results we're getting though.

We're going to try rolz.org next.

Of the others available, does anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks

We've been using Roll20 for our RPGing during lockdown, but it can be used for many other different games apparently...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

@Daeothar -- I know there are good dice days and bad dice days but overall are you satisfied with the results you get from Roll20?

Thanks

While I can't comment on the value of the dice rolling (we tend to just roll our dice and tell our results), Owlbear Rodeo is the best free/zero account tabletop simulator we've encountered.  Can highly recommned.  I've been playing some Rangers of Shadow Deep and even running my Dungeon Crawl on there with great ease.  Makes Roll20 look like an archaic GeoCities website.

Very much.  It does require a (free) account for each player (no installs or downloads required), but then there are loads of possibilities. We have only scratched the surface when it comes to using all features to be honest. But as a simple dice rolling tool, it's perfectly servicable for both hidden and public rolls, and all types and amounts go.

In the context of using various dice in tabletop games, there are plenty of options out there. If you're looking for dice that offer a mix of functionality and style, you might want to check out some online resources that provide a wide selection.

For instance, the site at https://dice.onl/ has a range of dice types and styles that could fit your needs. They also offer some great insights into dice selection for different game types. If you’re considering custom dice or just want a more unique look, it’s worth browsing their offerings.
