Some rocky outcrops for my Star Wars games set on Tatooine. Of course, they could be used for any desert -- doesn't have to be that particular planet!

These are 3-D prints from Diabolical Terrain. Check out my Lead Legionaries blog post for lots more photos and discussion of how I did them.

Lovely job on those Mike.

So here’s the Shock Troop unit, and the Missile unit is on the go.

Work kept me busy, so just a little painting this time - two hardy survivalists, ready to face the cold. Miniatures by Athena Miniatures.

My second batch of Viet Cong, and fifth group overall for my 28mm Vietnam project. I also made up some jungle scatter pieces, too. Used 1.5" diameter wooden disks with trimmed pieces from plastic plants for the foliage.

Full story of how I made them and discussion of the VC at my Lead Legionaries blog:

Great stuff Mike, loving that terrain and the basing of the figs, it’s all coming together and will no doubt look great on the table.

Technically May isn't over yet, and while I will paint some more tonight and tomorrow, I doubt I'll actually complete any miniature.

Nevertheless, this has been one of the most productive months in a very long while.
32 miniatures completed in 27 days.

21 quarrelers

and 11 among gunners, spotters and various artillery crew

Sliding in under the wire with less than five hours to go (in my time zone) till the end of the month. More U.S. Infantry for my Vietnam project. This is the "personalities" pack, and I really enjoyed painting these five figures.

I was going back and forth about who they represented from which Vietnam movie. The sculptor finally settled the question by saying the represent archetypes, not specific characters. Check out my blog post for a discussion of who I thought they were and more photos:
