South American Wars of Liberation?

I am considering doing this in 10mm with Pendraken Napoleonic figures. How many units per side do you think I'd need? The attraction is a fairly small number of units with maybe 40 or 50 per infantry regiment/battalion. Wouldn't tax my storage space, which is tight.

Edit: Make that 30 per infantry, 15 per cavalry.

Most of the battles were fairly small. I would think
10 or so units would be enough.
