On the Trinity Gamers forum recently the touted creation of a giant 3D Space Crusade/Hulk game following a quasi-drunken challenge prompted me to promise dinosaur hunting in 28mm (the gaming equivalent of eating my hat, since I've already done it in 10mm!). And so my fate was sealed, not to mention my game for Gaelcon in October...

As part of the discussion I was wondering who might be able to save the hapless civilians and adventurers from the dreaded monsters...

Now I admit it, I was looking for a fifth option here and rather than go for French Foreign Legion or something I though I'd offer something a bit odd - while The Mob doesn't have exclusive rights on trench-coats, tommy-guns or cigars - the prospect of seeing Joey 'Two-Fingers' Salvato turn his Chicago typewriter on Raptors is immensely appealing to many.

You will note that the vote (open to Trinity Gamers for a week now) currently shows that their appetite for such cheesy incongruity cannot be restrained!

For me, the Mobsters stand a better chance… they have both "heavy artillery" and a very relative sense of morality needed to rescue these unfortunate people… all that for a price, of course

I like the idea of the Mobsters, but you need serious firepower to take out Dino's and the Marines have it all, Rifles, BAR's, Shotguns, Tommyguns, Lewis Machineguns and that old reliable the Browning HMG.

While debate rages* over what exactly the "Native Warriors" will be (from Dahomean Amazons to Arab Slavers) you may be surprised to note that Mobsters still are in a commanding lead. Currently with 14 votes out of 32! Only a combined mission by the Royal Navy and Marine Corps (with 14 votes between them) can challenge them...

The 'Never Say Die!' attitude of the Marine Corps supporters is amazing!
With polls closing on Saturday they are on 22 votes with the Mobsters on 16 and the Royal Navy on 10.

This was the way I was inclining (as evidenced by my 10mm project) anyway but it ain't over until the fat lady sings I guess...
