Good narrative, and very nice for an old codger like me to see such a well done retro looking game. That is meant as a compliment by the way. Also nice to see those WH card buildings presented so well. Top notch stuff.

Very fun report, good pictures and good stories. The whole story does seem a bit sad as it doesn't seem the villagers had much of a chance. Good job though! :)
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Nice report, mate - always great photos from you! Not too fond of the visual effects - but I'm a grumpy old bastard. ;)

Man - I'm itching to get a game in soon! Won't happen for a while though - my regular gaming buddy had a baby this friday so we won't get much time for gaming the coming few years. :( and :D :D

Thanks again!

Maybe I should write an epilogue where the Innkeeper talks his way out of the cooking pot by offering the ogres free drinks for an evening! That might relieve the grim ending, although, in my mind at least a night raid on a relatively undefended village by 5 ogres was only going to end one way!  >:D

Congrats to your mate and commiserations to you Phreedh!

As for the effects - just messing about with Picasa for a laugh - if I'd have played on a bigger board and if someone had had the forethought to extinguish the lights in the village maybe the villagers would have had more chance of hiding and picking the ogres off one by one in the dark...
