German 7,7 - Help me, Helen,,,
« on: 20 November 2007, 07:46:08 PM »
,,,or somebody else.

Since Crisis I'm the proud owner of a GWM german 7,7 gun, you can see it here next to a renegade model.

The GWM one is a very fine mini, but there is one spare part I don't know where to glue. I guess it's part of the breechblock and I would put it on the right side of the (in the model open) breechblock. Any other suggestion?

If you come for the king, you better not miss (Omar)

Hi Poli, My books are with Mike Broadbent at the moment and I'd need the books to try and identify that very small part. I'll try and get to the war memorial and see what I can come up with there. Have you tried:

The 7.7cm FG:

Have you contacted the company say through TMP (Dave seems to respond on TMP) or some other contact and speak with Dave A?

I'm sorry just a little busy at the moment, but will try and assist.

Best Wishes.
Best wishes,
Helen

Hi Maik,

I suspect it´s the "Rundblickfernrohr" (360° scope) which goes to the left side of the breach. The socket (the part that looks like a pistol grip, being a bit confusing) goes slightly to the front and below the breach opening, with the assembly pointing upwards.

Look here:

and here:

and, for good riddance, here:

Thanks to both of you! And my apologies to Hammershield, I guess Rundblickfernrohr was exactly what you meant - sounds similar to thingummybob ;)
