i've decided to tackle the Old Glory Western coach while i'm at it - a vehicle theme i suppose.

Funny. I just completed my garage of late 19th centure vehicles.

*a West Wind Hansom Cab (Jack the Ripper)
*a Eureka Hansom Cab (Pax Limpopo)
*a West Wind cage wagon (Kindernacht, quite nice but fiddly)
*a West Wind Gypsy Wagon (Vampire Wars)
*a horseless carriage (a plastic railroad H scale kit)

I am vaguely planning to usethem for a London anarchist/police siege.

Hammershield - sounds like we have similar projects on the go...

I have one WW Hansom cab,
           two Eureka Hansom cabs,
two Dixon's converted stagecoaches as C19th carriages,
           one WW gypsy caravan,
           one WW Dracula's carriage,
and finally I am working on the WW Circus wagon and WW Kindernacht wagon at present.

These are for my ongoing Victorian London games. :)

West Wind Circus Wagon? Where did you find that one? I can't see it in their catalog.

I bought it a show and not direct from them. I am sure it was sold as part of their Cowboy Wars range. Its probably worth a phone call to them as I have not seen it on their website either.

Its a nice piece, similar to the Kindenacht wagon, with open bars to the sides but with an ornate flat roof. :)

I am thinking of putting a nice panther inside, inspired by the old Hammer film Vampire Circus!  :)

I have recently been putting together a group of gypsies for a game and decided that of course they needed a method of transportation.  So.... I bought the Westwind gypsy wagon and figured that I could turn to the LAF archives on how to put it together only to find to my dismay that no one had (as far as I could find) posted a completed wagon.  Also as Malamute had pointed out, the Old Glory site depicts the wagon put together incorrectly.  So I am going to attempt rectify this situation by posting my sollution.  Slings and arrows will be accepted but I do think that I have it right.  Here is a side view.

Here is a view of the bottom of the wagon.

And here are the rest of the minis included in the set.

Respectfully posted to the membership this 3rd day of October 2011  :D

Looks like it is put together correctly.
Look forward to see it painted.

The Old Glory photo shows the shafts the wrong way around on the gypsy caravan...

Nice.  Even their own crew doesn't know how to put the kits together!  ::)

This example is even more ridiculous when you ask yourself how the hell did they get the horse to step between the shafts with its hind legs behind the crossbar and its forelegs in front! Sheesh!
