Well the title says all, I'm mainly curious to know what this community thinks of those rules. :o

Have you seen the free pdf version on the eBob site, 21 pages of rules and scenarios. No army lists though.

www.ebobminiatures.com/files/rebellionv601.pdf

EDIT

Points list of sorts -- http://www.ebobminiatures.com/files/appendix1.pdf

Also eBob has a Rebellion forum, but it has been relatively dead for a few years ...

I must say that they look very appealing. I would agree that from first viewing of the free sample they bear some resemblance to the LOTR rules. I've been looking for something like this for a while and surprised I wasn't aware of them before.
I too would be keen to hear from someone with a copy who could give a fair appraisal of the book?

Well.. keep in mind I haven't play Rebellion (yet but I'm working on it) so there may be some problems I'm not aware of.
I read several times the book and I really like what I see.
It solves several problems I have with LOTR : examples : pikes vs cavalry and utility of WS.
Enough army lists to play nearly everything you want  and the scenarios seem nice.
No campaign système (but is that really necessary ? )

In fact, only thing I'd like to see right now is.. more models in the range  lol

I'm not too worried about models for the range at the moment as Scheltrum produce a cracking range of Scots that I could press gang into service. Again with the campaign system, I'm not too worried as at the club here we tend to go from game to game so scenarios are more important than campaigns.
