Great paint job by Todd, great picture too 8)
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Todd Arrington? Deaddog, right? The guy who painted for Privateer Press? He is ace. And it shows, great Valpurgis. Damn it...now I want to paint Warzone too :D

I'll start with the Gomorrian Emasculator, my alltime Dark Legion favorite. Gotta love the artwork too!

I think you weren't allowed to be in the Dark Legion unless you had a name that sounded like a metal band. When we started to get back into the game, we were reading the rulebook and just laughing with joy about how marvellously, unashamedly over-the-top the names are.

I mean -- Carnal Harvester, Supreme Necromagus ... "Necromutant" is just an amazing name. When I was younger, I didn't like those names because I thought they weren't serious enough -- now I just appreciate the bombast of it all with unironic pleasure.

The same 8)
I really like his style - just very cool and "believable" - I prefer it that some super fancy GW official paintjobs.
Sadly pic is f*cked - have to retake it (the bunker ain't easy to work with)

I really like the artwork but official model is just stupid...
I prefer FFG's version - I'd surely repaint the prepaint and the fact it's 54mm scale would just help - emasculator supposed to be 'uuuge! :)

Barking spiders lol
True - the guys had lotta imagination with naming new models.

Nah, don't like the FFG version at all. In fact, don't like any of the FFG models. The style is just way off for me. Maybe I'm just a nostalgic old fart ;)

By the way, anyone seen this link:

You can also find the latest rulebooks and loads of good gaming stuff! Excellent!

Apparently we represent similar lever of fartness: I have just bidded Gomorrian Piggy lol
And checked the artwork again - indeed it's not that big as I thought (skulls for reference)

:D
I'm thinking of painting him purplish to red, a bit like the artwork on the Razide. I'll airbrush the blue/purple color first and then red. I really like that color scheme on Bonner's Razides. I think this will be my main color for the Dark Legion. After the Gomorrian Emasculator \m/ I will do the two Praetorian Stalkers (also fan favorites...great names and the old models are terrific!).

Pretorians are on my paint list too - although I will try to copy the official (smurfish) look.
As for the pig - Maru from COFC painted this for the minis exchange: sadly not for me :'(

I can unequivocally say that that is the finest cybernetic space minotaur in hair bow and novelty slippers that I have ever seen.
Back from the dead, almost.

Indeed - if anything it makes it look even more evil!

The painting style is extremely similar to Rackham's confrontation miniatures catalogue images. Very cool!
