warzone forever
« on: August 26, 2007, 08:28:31 AM »
new edition of mutant chronicles has been released (with new crappy minis*) lately but inspired bu this even me and my friend decided to reanimate warzone gaming;
I've checked my minis-boxes searching for remnants of warzone stuff (we were playing only 1st edition of the game, about 10 years ago... ) and found some classic models there :D
we also got ultimate warzone rulebook (3rd edition of the game) and basing upon this I decided to build gaming hordes eee army**

so here's the first of excavated and painted anew models: razide
that was the first model I fell in love to after getting "warzone chronicles" zine but only after long, long time I managed to paint it; so here it is - ready to kill in the name of dark harmony!

if anyoune would like to vote on cmon - CLICKY!, thanks in advance!

*except for gomorian emasculator
** if 10-15 models per side can be called "army"

Great paint job. It brings back memories for me as well.
I still have a few Warzone armies and loved the system  . Do you know what the new web site is? I suppose it is being release in time for the release of the Mutant Chronicals movie.

TT.

I just loved Warzone.

See my Capitol force here:

I also got a complete Mishima army. I still think that the game was so much better then 40K...
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

similar feelings here:
I remember large 6 players battles (can't remember any of them finished  )
the game was great especially it was much cheaper than any of gw systems and even though the game was in fack duel of ultramighty human heroes and devilish nepharites

great site You have there!

The only new thing I know about is Fantasy Flight is coming out with a 54mm Mutant Chronicles CMG. You can see photos of the figures from Gen Con below.

There also might be some further shots in the FFG quicktime movie.

Personally I don't think it was wise to go with larger figures. But what do I know.

Yeah, I don't like the larger scale either, but I have to admit, when I spotted these at GenCon, I was VERY impressed with many of them.

I'm a relative latecomer to Warzone....only got a few of the classic ones in a trade about a year ago...but I LOVE them....such character!

i always loved the game, right now i have my old armies sitting in the
shelf. Nearly 100 Mishimians, 200 Dark-Legion (Algroth, Demnogonis
and Moo-Man) and 50 Capitol Troops are painted up need some action.

If someone wants a game or two i'm ready here at hamburg.

although I totally agree with that, I think it's cool dark legion's beasts (actually I mean only gomorian emasculator - at this stage the only model I like from new range  ) became larger

Those were good years. I had both Capitol and Bauhaus forces and enjoyed 2nd edition tremendously - 1st less so, because of the obvious and obnoxious balancing issues.
