Mechs and Power Armour

A major staple for Weird War games (aside from Zombies) are Mecha. Power Armour also is seen quite often. There are plenty of both around thanks to Dust and AT-43, but I've noticed that this can make many armies look a bit too similar for my liking.

So here's my plan; post any pictures, links or ideas for WWWII (or WWWI) Mechs and Power armour that you have or have come across, because I know I could really use some ideas that aren't Fantasy Flight.

Here at Gears & Guts we're busy taking the Gear Krieg 15mm WW2 mecha "upscale" to 1/56th scale for 28mm wargaming. Right now the US General Early light combat walker, and the German "Valkyrie" combat walker are available in several variants, supported by detail and decal kits:

The Japanese "ShiKi" combat walker has been mastered and in is the production pipeline. Here's an early "pull" to give you an idea of its design:



In addition to the ShiKi we have planned to produce the British "Cavalier", Italian LC1/40, and the Soviet G-27 combat walkers. These have all been prototyped.

We are also getting close to launching a line of 28mm WW2 Japanese zombie figures as well:

Rules for these combat walkers have been created for the NUTS! system, and for DUST. This is a "wish" project that I and others have been working on for a long, so we're excited to see kits in production with more on the way!

This topic is right down my alley. - I have a vast collection of images (which I have sourced from online, over the last 18 months or so). Here are a few of the ones which have a certain Weird War II feel about them.







I also have few images, built with Lego, which may help for ideas in any future custom built mechs.
