148 metres long, so unlikely to feature on my 28mm-sized table!

Also, whatever its capabilities, it looks really boring.

Type 26 innit?

Brazil possibly wants to buy some. Tell the club owners at the Premier league that they can forget all that nonsense about salary caps and put Roy Hodgson down for six Neymars and  200 tickets for the Olympics.

What idiot decided that it should have stealth capabilities? The whole point of gunboat diplomacy is that 'they' are supposed to know 'it' is there...

Seriously though, a 'Global Combat Ship' is just the ticket for deployment to defend our overseas possessions; East Africa, India, Cross-Channel Ferry routes, West Africa, the West Indies, Gibraltar, Palestine, Malaya, the Falklands, Egypt and the Sudan and Regent's Park Boating Lake.

Silly boy, it's called a Global Combat Ship because it may have to defend vital British business interests in the Cayman Islands, The Bahamas, the Channel Islands and other overseas tax havens.

They should have had this design in the early nineties; would have made the ships in the numerous PC combat simulators of the time actually look like their real world counterparts... lol

So, should we open a book on how many re-designs there are going to be, how much the cost over-run will be and how many years after 2020 it will finally enter service?
