Race for Dr. Lebensraum
« on: 02 September 2012, 09:39:54 PM »
So we got our hands on the Triumph and Tragedy rules and decided to give et a go.

It has been some time since we played VSF, but that is because the different factions in Africa have been keeping the peace and there generally have been no reason for confrontation.

And now to the game. The German scientist Dr. Lebensraum have for some time been working on a secret military project, but he has not been satisfied with the German Army's appreciation for his work and has decided to change his loyalty.

Both the British and the German army has sent out patrols to get the Dr. at his laboratory in the jungle.

The German troopers make a quick advance into the jungle.

Colonel Snider leads the german elite sailors.

Hidden in the jungle the Germans have brought their panzer krieger automatons.

The local wildlife watches while the troops close in.

The British patrol, lead by Lord Hamspam, is being sent off by Lord Cornwalls wife. Apparently for no important reason.

The redcoats closing in on the laboratory and meating up with a local allied cannibal tribe.

German stormtroopers shooting off against the cannibals.

German sailors and askari advancing across the river.

The Royal Mail Rifle Corps gets surprised to encounter the German automatons in the jungle.

The sailors cowardly gunning down Lord Hamspam as he searches the back of the laboratory.

The redcoats have been in the laboratory and found clues of where Dr. Lebensraum might have hidden himself. Now they are gunning it out with the German stormtroopers.

Advancing up the mountain the remaining redcoats gets shot down one by one.

On the other side of the mountain the Rifle Corps make their way to the top.

They reach the hideout of Dr. Lebenraum, but he is setting his trained gorillas after the Rifle Corps.

The Brits manage to fight off the gorillas and convince Dr. Lebensraum to follow them to the British camp. The Germans fail to hinder them anymore.

The game was great fun and we all agreed that the rules worked really well and we will deffinately be gaming some more with Triumph and Tragedy.

We will probably do some minor modifications ourself and work the vehicle rules for steamtech, just to make it suit our style of gaming and our miniature collections.

Hurrah for the British! :)

Looking forward to hearing what you come up with for vehicles too. :)

Yeah this was a good set of rules. Much more suited to my likings.

I'm working on the armour rules as we speak. I've just got to integrate the regular gun rules (for hitting men and not tanks) with them and then I have a suggestion.
