Aarch!

Guilty of succumbing to the 'ooh shiney' demon (yet again); I got sidetracked and repainted a host of X-Wing minis instead...

That usually happens when my flow gets interupted/broken. Either by realworld factors or by snags in the process. And as it is, I'm kind of on the fence on how to proceed with the roof, and by extension, with the rest of the bodywork as well.
I dug out a veritable traffic jam of 1/43 thirties cars from my interbellum project as reference, lining them up in a semblance of design evolution. I'm torn between a look like the car Dezmond posted (top of page 2) or a more swept/aerodynamical look. The last one is more modern, with the roof and side walls being integrated and rounded, where the older design has straight side walls, with a flat 'stuck on' roof, usually a seperate part.
The older design is easier on the build, where the newer design is easier on the eyes.

In the meantime, I did make running boards inbetween the wheel wells though. With a diamond plate surface. You know; for those inevitable cultist bodyguards hanging on to the vehicle during riding tours, parades etc...
I promise to post updates soon again. Only Slave 1 and the Andrasta to finish up, and I'll be up to date with my X-Wing repaints again. Until my Gozanti arrives that is...
