Another marvellous build....your technique is particularly well suited to this scale....I seem to remember brick paper being the way to go for model railways many years ago and you have added a great deal of realism to that way of building.

I am already imagining that these are all going to make one very fine looking game

Thank you Burnin Coal  :D The technique works fine on any scale I've found, I've done the same in 1/48 and 1/3000 scales, the weathering and general distressing helps take the sharp, rather pristine look off of straight textures, plenty of dirt helps with the suspension of disbelief!!  I just need to find a table large enough to have a proper game on  lol !

Thank you Vanvlak  :) It's rather later than the Sengoku Jidai, by about 200 years or so, :D  but I liked the look of the building and it might be useful if I decide to go all Boshin  ;) I don't get too hung up about perfect historical accuracy, the whole point is for the hobby to be enjoyable!  lol

 :-* Great!
Papercraft at it's very best. Where do you get the 3d-models from?

Only shame is that there are no boshin miniatures in 1:72...or am I wrong?

Many thanks andisan :) The models are my own, I find good photo references and deconstruct the relevant parts in photoshop ;) then I stick them all back together again and distress mightily!! I've attached the photo I used for the lighthouse and my raw pattern, to give you some idea.

As far as I know there are no Boshin figures in 1/72 scale, it would have to involve a fair bit of converting and head-swaps I'd think, but probably do-able :D  Many thanks again...

That looks great! Nicely done.  8)  I'm always hesitant to try paper and cardstock scenery because I am awful at assembly...I like the margin for error with paint and glue.  lol
