Old school warband
« on: 10 September 2015, 11:18:24 PM »
Like many others, Frostgrave has given me a chance to dust off some old figures and get them on the table again. This is my "Old school" warband of pre-lotta and early slotta figures. Except for the dwarf wizard (a recent ebay aquisition) these figures are from the late 80s/ early 90s, from my D&D playing days. I even remember some of the characters they represented in our long running campaign (we often played all day, nearly every day through the school summer holidays), so they hold some nostalgia value for me.
Some of them need a bit of paintwork touching up, but they are surprisingly good figures, even by todays standards, and better proportioned than many modern figures.

Lovely figures, I have most of those in my rebuilt (for the 3rd time now) pre-slotta D&D collection (don't recognise the guy in the pointy helm though) ....BUT.....you have to get them off those ugly plastic bases :-[

Coins or thin washers are the best option if you cant get original Watneys or Worthingtons beer mat card  ;)
