Thanks guys. Painted up another night goblin today as a quicky since I didn't want to waste the paint on the palette.

Yet another goblin! This one was part of the old Harlequin range but is now sold by Black Tree Design. I experimented a little with the eyes by adding a touch of blue to the white of the eyes, quite like the effect.

Yeah, I've spotted how you make the 'white' of the eye really quite dark (which is much more realistic) which makes the light spot leap out and gives so much life to the figure. Cheeky bit of highlight on the upper half of the eyeball really gives it depth as well.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Hello everyone,

I painted one of the Orcs from the recent Greenskin Wars kickstarter over the weekend. I wanted to paint him with more natural skin tones than the Orc I posted in the painting party. I also tried to be a bit more painterly, not fussing too much over smoothness.

edit:

Adding this "family photo" to the opening post

I absolutely love your painjob and the design of the miniatures. If I may ask, do you know if these guys are still being sold or if they were exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign? I can't find most of them on the Knightmare shop

Thank you! The three orcs in the back row are Knightmare and can be found here. The rest are old Citadel from the early 90s and late 80s, with the exception of the armoured goblin on the left which is from 4A miniatures.

Oh thanks! They all look very good together. I would not have guessed they were from different manufacturers. I guess I need to hunt them down on eBay then.
