Transylvanian Double Act
« on: June 04, 2023, 10:37:13 AM »
I recently spent a bit of time properly marking up my 17th Century “eastern front” Transylvanian and Muscovite armies: by “marking up” I mean putting identifiers on each unit that allows me to remember which are which! That done, it was time to get them onto the tabletop.

Click on the link to read the full AAR. We were using the "eastern front" variant of For King & Parliament.

Great looking table and very interesting AAR.
May I ask are the figures 15mm By Fire and Sword minis?

Yes, all the figures are By Fire & Sword minis, although I use a modified version of For King & Parliament to play the games.

Vis Bellica,
Metternich and I are looking to use For King and Parliament for 30 Yrs War and perhaps Polish vs. Swedish conflicts.  What variations did you use for eastern battles?

Hi
You can find the rule adaptations and army lists I've written by clicking on the link below:

Note that these are very much based on the initial work done by the author of the Tales from a Wargaming Shed blog.
Let me know what you think: always happy to get constructive criticism!
Cheers

Vis Bellica, any suggestions regarding Finnish cavalry for the 30 Years War?  I was thinking Swedish Horse Fanatic.  Thoughts?

And what about Croats (by which I mean true Croats, not Polish "Cossacks")?  Maybe pistol-armed Light Cavalry?
