TSATF - rules query

I am getting back into TSTAF after some 40+ years, with a focus on the NWF.

We had our first game this weekend (a trio of grizzled games veterans in Flanders). It was fun, but we ran into a small conundrum.

When a scenario has buildings in it, how do you treat them and handle combat therein?

Do you put a footprint around the village and treat the whole thing as Cover IV? Or do you treat each building individually?

How are you handling fire from a building and h-t-h combat? Are you using physical openings as they are, for firing, or do you use the rule that 25% of occupants can fire from each side? And when the Pathan horde overruns the building - again, do you use individual apertures (which can lead to very indivdual lengthy combats) or how do you do it?

Thanks for any thoughts. I find the rules great still and want to play them, but I need to iron these items out for game flow.

We take the two units and line them up then we match them up and go down the line each figure fighting the figure across from it. The players pick out what order they want their guys lined up. Doesn't matter if one unit is in a building or not. Everybody fights. We do that until one side is the winner.

We do the class four target if they are in a building or behind prepared works of some kind.
