I'm glad you resurrected this thread: I hadn't seen it before. I really like the variety in your chaos forces. I totally agree this looks way better than ranks of uniform troops. I'm keen to see how it all comes together for Midgard.

The model is a 3d print I bought from a company called Excellent Miniatures. I also bought a few of my Nurgle demons there and while it’s really pricey the detail is very sharp. Nearly comparable to 28mm but paintable for someone like me in a couple of evenings (instead of years or never as with 28mm).

So here the first of my rebased Chaos Dwarfs (a.k.a. Fantasy Osmans). I followed Mogsey quite literally and glued magnetic sheet on a wooden base that was then painted, painted with a sand/color/glue mix, drybrushed and finally adorned with little stones, static grass and whatever I could find.
It’s not per se that I tried to mimick anything special, like the Anatolian highlands, but more a colorful mix that should say „dry“.
