Figured out what was bugging me about them - they look like Lego!  lol

Now I feel that if I get this, I will be mocked and shunned...  :'(

The legs look awfully modern, but overall style is inspirational.  (Agreed on the goofy terrain bits under the legs too)

hmmm, yes, indeed.

I don't like the weird bits under the feet, but I guess it would make assembling it easier. I'd probably just stick it on a hardboard base and then filler it up.
Add some ruins and scenic stuff perhaps.  :)

Not for me either. It would need too much work to 'VSF' it and i can think of better things to spend my money on for VSF (like more stuff from the Ironcald catalogue or perhaps Privateer's Grind games for all those mech bodies).

It also doesn't work for me for WWW2 either. As commented in previous postings on this thread, the hull doesn't look deep enough and it would sink in the taiga (or in the winter snows). I just can't see the Soviets fielding this with their 'mass production' method of arming their forces and in the sort of terrain they are likely to work in.  Far better to use lots of T-34 tanks, or if they want a heavy gun tank just churn off some more from the KV-2 production lines. I'm afraid this concept just doesn't make sense to me. I have a WWW2 Soviet force coming along slowly as a 'backburner' project, but this model certainly won't be appearing in it :(

I guess that sounds right though. Logically thinking, of course.

I'm mixed, if I find one cheaper, I'll get it, but otherwise no. Grind sounds like a good option for a similar price though.

What an idiot thing to construct for getting across a soggy taiga...

I'm seeing a lot of field modification to those 'feet', likely some welded-on 'snowshoes' to distribute the vehicle's weight more efficiently.

My Russians do need a little "extra" firepower - but for all of the reasons mentioned it won't be one of these.
