You read it!

It's far too cool to pass up! I'm getting one or two for sure, not sure who for yet, but definately.

And thank christ I won't even have to rivet it myself (much)!!!  lol

I might either make it Prussian (as with my ramshackle spider), or British, for a weird spin. Maybe even American...  :)

I'd lose the turret and at the very least add a smokestack and boiler to the chassis. Its hard to tell if there's wires running from the body to the legs but might have to do something with that.

There's real potential with these, they might look good standing alongside one of Ramshackle's spiders.  ;)
Don't!

What an idiot thing to construct for getting across a soggy taiga...

Nope. Not for me.

Turret overshadows the body, which looks too flat. Armour plates on the legs look wrong, somehow, and what the hell is the deal with those base things? Either do a whole one or none at all, those clumps on the feet make it look ridiculous.

The amount of work you'd have to do to make it look right is way too much for a forty quid kit.

I'd probably ask them direct if I could order one without the turret, the turret is way too big!  lol

The turret is accurate for Russians, it's a KV2 turret.

It's okay but not great. I prefer the conversion I made from a 1/48th KV2 and some 'backloader' arms from toy JCB's. Should really finish that off and paint it, hopefully it won't take as long as the original steamspider took me to finish.....

Yeah, but too big for VSF and for something like that imo.
Historicaly accurate though, well, as much as it can be.

Any pics of that conversion? Sounds cool.  :)

And yup, 40 quid.  :?

Not currently I'm afraid. Pretty much anything that is not in my 'current' or 'to sell' piles has been put into storage :(
