I agree with elprez.  This is VSF.  A small amount of "suspension of disbelief" is required.  If cuirrasiers can ride on steam driven mechanical dragonflies, I think these ladies could ride side saddle and wield a lance.

And these are lovely looking figs.  I won't be adding any to my Federal or Confederate American armies, but if I expand to a continental army from across the pond.....
