Great minis and lovely paint jobs - on a completely different tasngent - although inspired by your blog - personally, when in more whimsical frames of mind,  I've always hankered after a set of woodland animals dressed in Edwardian garb brandishing cudgels and pistols so I could game the more exciting episodes from The  Wind in the Willows! 

Sounds like fun. Let us know if you find those minis, be interested to know how it turns out!

Thinking on putting something algae-ish on the bases, some flock as well, so it's kind of like they're coming out of the pond onto grass ... does that even make sense?

I'm afraid the small matter of the LPL has taken up most of my time these past ten weeks - the idea is still smouldering quietly in the back of my mind though...
