The game was fought solo, Sharp Practice's card-based system is good for that. I added a few house rules to cover hostile native deployment and battleplan while I fought the British side. Oddly enough, the random element can be a lot more lethal to the British/Colonial force than a real-life player can manage.

Three cheers for the plucky Barsetshires and their continuing efforts in the eradication of slavery.

I'd be interested to hear some of your ideas on solo play for SP as I fear that's what I'll end up having to do due to lack of Napoleonic interest in my neck of the woods
