Dungeon basing
« on: August 18, 2012, 02:45:03 AM »
Pretty much as it says on the tin. What do people use for their dungeon basing? I'm looking at all manner of really cool resin bases, in particular the Sanctuary set from Dragonforge. But I suspect my Dire Wolves and nastier gribblies will look out of place. Suggestions people?

I make some dungeon bases if you're interested. Nothing spectacular. I have 25mm and 40mm round. 25x50 rectangle and 50x50 square. PM me if you want any pics.

I just use standard bases, cover 'em in fine sand and the odd piece of kitty litter (unused, naturally).  Prime black and then drybrush with progressively lighter greys.  I then water down some dirty green paint and add some splodges for moss/mould/whatever.  I am a simple soul.

I use these Fenris bases for my fantasy urban (mordheim) setting. They have various: 20, 25, 40, 50 mm and cavalry base too. To me those bases looks perfect for a dungeon. BTW Fenris sells "dungeon floor" bases too. Surf their shop for round bases, if you need.
Fenris has always provided me a great service. Their bases are great quality and pretty cheap IMO. You could buy their stuff avoiding evilbay too. Ask Geronimo here on LAF :)
hope it helps!
