Manatic, it was thanks to you I found out about Denizen. I'm waiting on the CM Tech Manual arriving and I intend to order some once I decide what I'm going to get. I couldn't see the Revirsico aliens on their site so I'm going to tinker with Tyranids. Thanks for such useful articles.

I think the Sgt's marines actually look better than the ones on the Gripping Beast site.

As I paint in the garage I have to wait for daylight to take pictures so over the weekend I will update close ups for you.

That would be great, thanks.

I have a copy of the technical manual, but translating camouflage from an image to paint doesnt always work out the way that I had hoped, so I am interested in any technique that gets you such nice results :)

Instead of the camo scheme I really like the style Silent Invader and some others have used.

I'm sure SI won't mind me linking to his blog:

These are the Reviresco Aliens:

On the Reviresco site: http://www.tin-soldier.com/starguard/homof.html

Glad I looked for these, since the link on my review was outdated!

I was looking at Heresy's site for a synthetic and some colony staff and they have a sale on. It started at 20% off and decreases by 1% every day. I only ordered at 18% off so get in quick. I picked up some lurker heads for genestealer conversions and some 'government inspector types' which look great for colony or station workers.

For some more colonists, I recommend checking out Victory Force's not-Star Trek line: http://www.victoryforce.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=VFM&Category_Code=sfpacks

I picked up the two gadget-holding synthetics there. The arms are a bit short, but they were fun to paint and look nice enough finished:

The Hasslefree scientist is a nice model too!
