Setting limits on my buying ... HA!
« on: 05 January 2013, 11:51:09 PM »
Here's my latest post on my blog, about trying to set limits on the minis I will buy in the coming year, which will largely be EOTD purchases, plus a smattering of minis for sci-fi and modern zombies. Hah! Like I'm going to be able to stick to any sensible plan. I'll try, but I do not hold out high hopes. I am a sad little man when it comes to the lure of the shiny, shiny new minis ...

The problem is I've been a founding member of that club for too many years now.

Also, I know in my mind any limits/restrictions I set will slide down in my estimation from commandments, to rules, to suggestions, to HERESY!!!

We'll see!

....trying to set limits on the minis I will buy in the coming year

Now THAT is one of the funniest things I've ever read  :D

Good luck but don't fancy your chances much. I promised myself the same thing about my rulebook addiction just before Christmas. Since then I've bought five new books already. Give up now, it's a lost cause. You'll never do it  lol
...and what fresh new hell is this?

Ebay is what does it for me. I can resist most things, but then a real bargain crops up and I'm sunk. I can't even wait until the end of the month for the Convention (where I will buy more stuff for the mountain).  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good luck... I have resisted for three weeks now. Getting harder as I promised myself a new Pardulon building a month for a nice Carpathian village in EotD.

Anyone available in Worcestershire to take in unmarked packages for me? That way the better half need never know..... erm .... hi honey...... how long have you been standing there? ..........

....any one got a spare room?  :D
Have fun storming the castle! ...and that really isn't me you know...

Gothic Project: leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55943.0 - although on pause atm as too much RL stuff getting in the way.

Yeah, yeah, I know how unlikely it is. I share your passion for rulebooks, Stavros, and I've managed to resist that one so far. (But that's mostly 'cause I got Infinity Campaign Paradiso and Dark Age Devestation before Christmas.)

But maybe with Sedition Wars shipping shortly and so much lead that I already need to get paint on, I'll be distracted enough for a bit that I can at least SLOW DOWN my buying!
