Limbo feels very Cthulhu-ish...
« on: 19 January 2013, 07:25:35 AM »
Just got this new game Limbo (ps3)

It's got such a great Lovecraft feel to it...

Eary dreamscapes, giant spiders and everything is trying to kill you... all in black and white and perpetually covered in mist, I love it!

Be mindful of the prayers you send
Pray hard but pray with care
For the tears that you are crying now
Are just your answered prayers

Yes, Limbo is most excellent. It does have that Lovecraftian feel to it, as if the Dreamer is in the dreamlands itself.

Including the dreaded Leng Spider...! Everybody who played Limbo know what scenes I'm hinting at. For the rest, just search for limbo+spider on YouTube. One of the best scenes in gaming IMO.

Never heard of the game, but looks really neat. I am not an arachnophobe but that spider was creepy as it crawled along the screen.

The way you get rid of it is really awesome too...

And later on there is this little dweep who impersonates one with some strings and scrap-metal... genius!
