Hmm... I've got exactly 2 of these from Ebay recently..... probably paid overprice with shipping from the US, and all....

Is the small track meant to go at the front? I do not remember the looks of the T-1 from the movies, but they DO look mean the other way around.... (I got mine in a disassemblied state without the box/blister)

Below are a set of extremely "in the making" rules I'm gonna use for this. Feel free to comment and show me any hideous flaws they may contain...

If you don't know IABSM.. so be it Jedi. I think you'll be able to "get the feel" anyway. IABSM is card based and the cards mentioned below are besides unit cards, leader cards, "turn is over" card and so on.

You don't deploy your troops in IABSM, but markers indicating that something may be there.. and maybe there isn't.

Use I Ain't Been Shot, Mum! rules with following changes:

Conventions:
Always minimum 3d6 - minus dice used for shooting - available for movement, no matter how many men remaing.
Call "wounds" for "Shock counters" = -1 move/shoot unless moving away from the enemy.
Big men are called CO's
USe 28mm models and fireteams instead of squads.

Rules:
SkyNet forces have no CO's and don't get no wound markers.

Both sides uses blinds, but SkyNet forces should have a lot easier detecting Resistance forces.

EMP Table:

1-2: Target suffers light damage from the attack. Suffer -2 to all dice rolls for two roudns
3-4: Target suffers severe damage from the attack. Disabled until contacted by SkyWalk or T-1
5-6: Target taken out and beyond repair

Cards:
Heavy fire bonus - roll off for both sides. Winner takes a round of shooting with preferred unit.

Radioactive contamination:
When this card is drawn it indicates that resistance people may have stumbled upon a source of high radioactivity.
If the next force card turned is human, that unit suffers 3 hits. Roll hits as normal.

Weather Change:
The climate has not taken SkyNets atomic war litely. Visibility can go from fine to zero in a matter of seconds.
Sweeping winds can churn the battlefields and temperatures may drop instantly.
When the card is drawn roll 1d6:

1-2: Heavy radiated rain fall - unit in the open must seek cover or take one hit every turn
3-4: Ashblizzard: Ashes raises from the ground creating a thick fog. Visibility is lowered to 18''. SkyNet forces
are not affected.
5: Freeze. The temperature freezes. All unit require more energi to move around. All units lose 1d6 initiative die.
6: Roll again but with 2d6 and aply both results.

Defenders of Mankind Resistance:

May always have 1d3 transports (Cars AV:5 - Trucks AV: 6, Armoured either AV:7)

Table:

Squads:
1-2: 8 recruits
3-4: 10 recruits
5-6: 8 regulars
7-8: 10 regulars
9: 8 Vets
10: 10 Vets

Recruits:
Remaining men : 0-3 : 4-6  : 7-8  : 9-10
Available Dice: 0     1      2      3
Roll for Equipment:
[5+]: Uranium bullets, [5+]: EMP-grenades, [4+]: grenades, [6+]: Missile launcher or HMG

Regulars
Remaining men : 0-3 : 4-6  : 7-8  : 9-10
Available Dice:  1     2      3      4
Roll for Equipment:
[4+]: Uranium bullets, [4+]: EMP-grenades, [3+]: grenades, [5+]: Missile launcher or HMG

Veterans
Remaining men : 0-3 : 4-6  : 7-8  : 9-10
Available Dice:  2     3      4      5
Equipment:
Uranium bullets, EMP-grenades, grenades, may have either of missile launcher and HMG

Special Equipment:
Uranium capped rifle bullets (Strike 4)
Missile Launcher. Range 48'' (Strike 7, 2,5'' radius)
Grenades: Range 12''.. Roll 2d6 to hit (discuss difficulty) (Strike 5, 2,5'' radius)
EMP grenades: Range 12''. Roll to hit using 2d6 (determine difficulty). If target hit - roll on EMP table. (2,5'' radius)

SkyNet forces:

1: 4 T-300
2: 1 T-800 refit
3: SkyWalk 1 or Skywalk 2
4-7: 3 T-800
8; Pregame atomic strike - further 8's count as 9-0

 2     3      4

Gatlingcannon Strike 6.

Pre-game atomic strike:

Attacker plots strike on a map of the table before either player sets up.
Each strike is 5'' radius. Target in the zone suffer automatic hits. Roll on the table.

I was at Ebay - thanks to Grimmnar - and this happened:

Kitech ZhengDefu 1/48 US M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank  $9.99 USD
Kitech ZhengDefu 1/48 US M3 Bradley Cavalry Vehicle  $9.99 USD
Kitech ZhengDefu 1/48 LAV-25 Piranha USMC  $19.98 USD

Whenever money rains on me again I'll be getting some Black Scorpion US inf to act

So, by 'game over' is it safe (ha, safe...) to assume the remaining TechCom were gunned down because they bunched up so bad? Or did someone do a Kyle Reese and blow it up?

G´damn it! You get those discounted at Toys r´us, and here in Germany, even comic book stores won´t stock the stuff! I so want one of those tanks (although I´d prefer it with the third track to the rear - looks less "compensating for something" that way... ).

;)

But it looks like ou had some good fun?

Having been part of the followup game I can only say that there was indeed much fun for all involved! I'm looking forward to the updated version at Horisont :)
