Welcome SH,

We've used GASLIGHT (Squad Skirmish), Battles for GASLIGHT (Regimental 10 man units), Valor, Steel & Flesh (Regimental 10 man units, with Brigade type command).  None are free though GASLIGHT and Battles for GASLIGHT now appear side by side in the GASLIGHT Compendium, with a whole bunch of other GASLIGHT extras.

I'm sure the hive mind will correct my post where necessary, it's been a while since we've had a game though the arms race continues!!

I use FUBAR VSF.  Nice simple set of rules.

As the maintainer of this version of FUBAR, I support this message.  It's free to download and modification is encouraged.

I'd be happy to answer any questions on it you may have.

We're starting to use a mod of Sharp Practise but as we've only just started there's not much to go yet but the rules themselves are certainly suitable.

cheers

My votes for Gaslight. Love it!
Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

As a matter of fact, we just came out with a free GASLIGHT quick start guide.
