stripping plastic?

Hi chaps,

Just bought 50 painted plastic uruk hai and I really need to strip them and start over... Any hints and tips?

Everyone (it feels like at least) recommends Simple Green but I've never had much luck with it myself.

Dettol or Simple Green.

You can use sanitary alcohol with no fear at all,put the miniatures for a couple of days or weeks or months,does not matter and then use a toothbrush toclean them.I used this method to clean a lot of space marines and tanks with no problem at all.

Fairy Power Spray: fast; doesn't turn the paint into unshiftable sticky glue half the time like dettol; and available in the UK, in your average grocery or corner shop.

I use a toothbrush and acetone-free nail polish remover - Superdrug's own in the UK. I've even stripped Epic scale space marines using this. A little soak for a few minutes in a glass jar and the paint comes away pretty easily.

Easy, non-toxic, smells nice and works a charm.

brake fluid "BENDIX 55", safer to use with gloves and an open window.

Methelated spirits if acrylics.  White Spirit if enamels.

Brake Fluid will strip paint, but also the skin off you fingers...

Super Drug Acetone free... I looked at the contents and found it seems to contain Acetone...  bit like Findus contains Beef I suppose.
