Well myself and Generalwinter at long last got round to having a Black Powder game set in the French Revolution. It was a contest for a small hamlet between the heroic forces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire against the dastardly mob of Wolfinstien citizens and their approaching fiendish French allies. The Austrians needed to secure the hamlet before the French could link up with their allies. The game is picture heavy.

The Wolfinstien deployment.

The Dandini Freikorps advance.

The Wolfinstieners advance.

the Austrians repulse a French attack.

Things hot up for the Austrians.

on the Austrians right there is not much action.

The second French column collides in to the flank of the men from Budwies but they in turn are assaulted in the flank by the Alucard Friekorps.

After a couple of rounds of melee both Austrians and French break leaving the Friekorps intact.

The French skirmishers retreat.

The Austrians chase away some of the Wolfinstieners.
All in all we had a good game and can't wait for the next game.
