Heavy Gear Fusilier Hovertank (12mm 1/144), update 12-07
« on: 20 October 2013, 03:21:46 PM »
Once in a while something not painted by me...
I had the opportunity to buy some Southern Jackrabbit bikes from “sackofmonkeys”, I was blown away how well our painting styles fit each other. Even I have difficulties to see the difference... (Mamba Gear by me, bike by him!).

He even included some converted minifigs civilians!
A true gentleman!

"NuCoal is an alliance of city-states in the badlands. The city states formed a united government to provide protection from the massive Northern and Southern polar forces that have a histroy of taking advantage of the smaller independent city-states found throughout the Badlands of Terra Nova. A controversial addition was the city-state of Port Arthur, founded by abandoned CEF forces. Port Arthur provided a strong military backbone, including over one hundred thousand GREL supersoldiers, while NuCoal developed their own military.

NuCoal became a major player during the War for Terra Nova, the CEF's second invasion attempt. The CEF has focused on targets within NuCoal's territory for unknown reasons, and NuCoal has deployed their military to repel the invaders. They are fielding a force of new designs ranging from the tiny high-speed Jerboa Recon Gear to the massive Hussar Tankstrider."

As soon as the NuCoal Fusilier tank came out I LOVED the design. Even owning no NuCoal army (yet), I needed that model badly.
I now came finally around to paint it.

I deliberately chose to make it more rugged and used looking as todays flawless DP9 paintjobs.
Works for me...   ;)

I have really loved these NuCoal designs from the get go. Everything really, mechs, armor, apc. Really nice stuff. And I like your worn look better than pristine. Just wish they were more affordable.

Gets worse; I'm not really a fan of those designs, but you paint 'em, I'd put them on the table and push them.

Sweet.

For my latest book (http://www.adpublishing.de/html/future_combat_vide.html) I needed a hover IFV.

So time to dig out my DP9 Heavy Gear CEF HPC-64 APC and give it some paint!
;)
